Only the first pressing is used for this champagne, which is stored for five years in the grower's cellars. Once again, copper-coloured and a closed nose. Under the surface one detects top class creamy Pinot Noir. The taste is uneasy and unbalanced, but the depth of the masculine fruit is particularly impressive. Unfortunately this champagne, though suitable for storage, has a mousse that is rather too rough and frothy.
